The Psychology for Non-Majors LIFE cluster created a Field Day for the children at the Early Learning Center . The Cluster created games and activities in small groups that would be developmentally appropriate for the respective age groups. On the first day, students from the cluster worked with early-elementary school students making play dough, window hangings, and creating bubble wands. The next day students worked with toddlers dancing with scarves, playing soccer, and talking with puppets. Finally, the last day was with pre-school aged children creating hand print trees, playing musical games, and working with a parachute. Every day there was a small group responsible for the communication aspect of the event by taking pictures, recording what children say, and noting interesting observations throughout the experience. All three days were very successful and the Early Learning Center and the LIFE cluster were happy with the event.
