Our clusters chose the ALS Association as our benefactor. We participated in the ALS Walk in Wayne , PA on Saturday, Nov. 10 and raised more than $200 for ALS research. Some of our students worked as volunteers at the event. We learned a great deal about Lou Gherig, for whom the disease is also named, and about the disease itself. We witnessed firsthand how ALS has affected others in the community and its impact on popular culture (Tuesdays with Morrie.) We hope to share with others what we have learned about ALS and encourage them to participate in the fight to end it.
