For out LIFE-fest project we chose to volunteer at the Mary Campbell Center in Wilmington . The Mary Campbell Center is a home for mentally and physically disabled adults. We went there and spent the evening with the residents, played POKENO (like BINGO), and got to know them better. We all really enjoyed going there and we believe it was a very positive experience. Although our concentration for our major is history, the majority of us are concentrating on education as well, so spending time with the residents helped us learn how to be more motivating, helpful and accepting.
