Our clusters cooked a pasta dinner and homemade dessert for over forty children and staff at the Boys and Girls Club in Newark , DE . Through this contribution to their program, we were able to give back to those who may not ever have the life chances that those of us at UD do. The Boys and Girls Club reaches out to disadvantaged inner-city children in order to provide them with a safe haven from the crime and poverty of their neighborhoods. Contributing to such a promising organization helped us see how another program is able to help less fortunate youth. Seeing how excited and grateful these children were for our visit and making such an impact by being positive role models for them, enabled all of us to appreciate the little things in life so much more. Moreover, this first-hand experience inspired us to see how we can continue community service in other parts of the Delaware . Our presentation will be a montage to reflect our interactions with the Boys and Girls Club.
