Our cluster's project was a 5K walk called the Turkey Trot. This walk is the second oldest consecutive walk/run held in Newark , DE . An organization called The Ancient Order Hibernians was at the event to collect coats, non-perishable foods for nearby families, as well as donations to support the families of deployed troops. Through the experience our students learned that every person can help to make a difference in someone's life, especially during the holiday season. Although not everyone enjoyed waking up at 7:30 am on a Saturday morning, the students realized that it is worth it to help make a difference. Our presentation will consist of a power point slide show, explaining the Turkey Trot and showing pictures of all our wonderful faces at 8am from the morning of the walk.
