Our cluster decided to keep our Sociology base for the project. We wanted to help children who may not receive the same benefits as other children due to economic reasoning. We traveled to the Great Newark Boys and Girls Club to provide a Halloween activity for about twenty kids aged six to eleven . Using paint, stickers, cut outs, plates, and googly eyes, the kids decorated the pumpkins and used them for their annual haunted house at the club. The kids at the club were excited from the moment we stepped through the door. The cluster also had a great time and was able to understand a glimpse of these kids' lives. We want others to understand how this “positive place” and other non-profit organizations can truly help children develop in society.
