On October 29th, our cluster went to Exceptional Care for Children, a residential healthcare facility serving technology-dependent children and their families, and brought a seasonal Halloween spirit to the kids there. Many of the children are medically-fragile and do not get to interact with others very often, so they were very happy when we brought them decorated pumpkins dressed up as characters such as Mini Mouse, a princess, a pirate, and others. YouDee joined us as we spent time with the children and really brightened their day. The excited looks on their faces gave us a great rewarding feeling. Knowing we brought a little joy as well as a sense of normalcy into these children's and their families' lives is priceless.
