This year our biology cluster joined forces with the AI DuPont Children's Hospital in Wilmington , Delaware to provide their young patients with toys this upcoming holiday season. With hundreds of children either undergoing treatment or in the process of recovery, AI DuPont provides a warm and kid-friendly environment to prevent that cold, hospital feel. We wanted to assist the families of patients in providing these gifts because after so many expensive treatments, many families cannot afford a lavish holiday celebration. We set up a competition amongst the floors of the Dickinson Dorms to get some of the freshmen excited about the toy drive. We hope we can surprise the children on December 6th with a plethora of gifts that will put smiles on all of their faces.
